Yes! That's right. We are starting our first contest!

The Theme: Purple

Submit up to TWO pictures relating to the theme "purple." This can be a photo involving the color, the written word, or maybe even something abstract! Be creative! You can submit any photograph you have taken, or you can take a new one relating to the theme.

To enter: Watch this account and simply link to the picture(s) in a comment on this journal.

The Prizes:

1st Place - 3 month subscription + Journal/News features!
2nd Place - Journal/News features!
3rd Place - Journal/News features! O_O

The Rules:

--- Submission deadline is Sunday, October 18th at Midnight (Central European Time)
--- You may submit up to TWO photographs
--- Image MUST be a photograph
--- Moderate post-processing allowed
--- Photo must be taken by YOU, no stock images allowed
--- Color or Black and White allowed
--- Winners will be chosen based on composition, originality, quality of the photograph, and interpretation of the theme.

Welcome to the Photography Union!

What we are about:
We are here to support all of the photography-related DeviantArt community, but specifically we are out to find new artists and get them the exposure and attention they deserve on this site.

Are you an experienced photographer? Excellent! You are just as welcome as any other DeviantArt member. Interested in helping photography newbies out and expanding their love for photography? Once we gain enough momentum, we are looking to start a mentor program to achieve just that!

Why you should join:
It's fun, social, and you can get featured! That's right. Every week we will feature works from our members for all members to see! DeviantArt is a pretty big place, and especially for new members it will be nice to have a small local community to take some of the "over" out of "overwhelmed"!

How you can join:
